    Henry is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Cairns Institute, where his work is focused on qualifying and quantifying social support and socio-economic impacts for large-scale ecosystem interventions on the Great Barrier Reef, such as the Crown-of-thorns Starfish Control Program and the Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program (RRAP). Henry completed his PhD degree in Physical and Natural Sciences at James Cook University in July 2023, with a thesis that quantified the Reef tourism sector’s adaptive capacity to severe climate disturbances. Henry also holds a European Master in System Dynamics and a Bachelor in Economics. Prior to his PhD, he worked for two years as an Energy System Modeler at DNV in Norway, developing a large-scale system dynamics model to forecast the global and regional energy transitions towards 2050.
