In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. TEDxJCUCairns has been running for four years now and continues to showcase brilliant local talent.

This year, we want to shake things up a little by hosting a Pitch Night. Come along and be inspired as a group of local participants will pitch their best ideas! Meet the TEDx crew, hear from talented local people, and take the opportunity to tell us what you want to see at TEDxJCUCairns this year.

Always dreamt of giving a TED talk?

Take the stage for a three minute pitch!

The three minute pitch gives you a chance to share your idea with the community. You never know, your idea might be good enough for the TEDxJCUCairns main stage on Saturday, 27 October. Even if you don't end up on our stage, the three minute pitch is still a great way to test an idea in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. You only have three minutes to make an impression.

You're not expected to deliver a polished talk, just a great idea. Watch last year's talks for examples of the kind of ideas we are looking for.

Submit your expression of interest by COB Thursday, 26 July. If you're successful for a three minute pitch, we'll notify you on Friday, 27 July.
