You’re Invited: 50 Years of Independence – Reflections on Papua New Guinea

Join us for a special evening to mark 50 years of Papua New Guinea’s independence, featuring a film screening, panel discussion, and the launch of a new exhibition showcasing Papua New Guinea memorabilia and stories.

The event begins with a powerful film exploring PNG’s journey since independence in 1975, followed by a panel of speakers with deep personal and professional ties to the country. Together, they will reflect on PNG’s past, present, and future through the lens of lived experience, history, and cultural resilience.

We’ll also launch a unique exhibition featuring memorabilia, photographs, and objects that celebrate the vibrant history and enduring connections between PNG and its people.
