Phone and Spear

Right in time for Open Access week, Phone & Spear by Miyarrka Media has gone digital. It is now available to everyone as on MIT's Knowledge Futures Group platform Pubpub.

The book stretches genres in both academic publishing & Yolngu visual art to create a collaged world of voice, story and images.

We hear that the book is already being taught in anthropology and media classes around the world. Congratulations to the entire Miyarrka Media team: Paul Gurrumuruwuy, Jennifer Deger, Enid Guruŋulmiwuy, Warren Balpatji, Meredith Balanydjarrk, James Ganambarr, Kayleen Djingadjingawuy. Miyarrka Media’s co-founder, Jennifer Deger, is Theme Leader, Creative Ecologies at The Cairns Institute.
