Important Changes to Grant Submission Deadlines

    Research & Innovation Services (RIS) has updated grant submission deadlines to align with JCU’s financial delegation requirements.

    A reminder to ensure your applications meet the new timelines:

    • JCU-Led Grant Applications ($1M+): Submit to RIS 1 month before the funder’s deadline.

    • Externally Led Grant Applications ($1M+): Submit to RIS 2 weeks before the funder’s deadline.

    • All Grant Applications (<$1M): Submit to RIS 2 weeks before the funder’s deadline. I

    Late or incomplete submissions may not receive delegate approval in time!

    Contracts & Agreements Over $2M

    For contracts exceeding $2M, notify RIS via GECO as early as possible. A minimum of 2 weeks is required for delegate review and approval.
